In 1957 little Juli's life changed forever: then the family Lustres moved to the neighbor house. Juli at first sight fell in love with Bryce Loski – the age-mate who didn't share her feelings at all. Within the next years Juli did everything possible to liberate Bryce, being absolutely sure that only shyness prevents it to reciprocate to her. Bryce all this time dreamed only of one – that Juli left him alone and ceased to put in awkWard situation.

And awkWardness in their relations was much: at first Juli embraced Bryce in his first day at school, then asked to help it with rescue of a branchy maple, then got chickens and began to distribute their eggs to the right and on the left, having made a family Lustres the regular customers. And only when she started understanding that not so remarkable Bryce as always it seemed to it, he, in turn noticed that Juli – absolutely special girl, and others such isn't present.
When Juli meets Bryce in the second grade, she knows it's true love. After spending six years trying to convince Bryce the same, she's ready to give up - until he starts to reconsider.
