20th Century Women

Actions of the movie take place in 1979 in Santa Barbara. Dorathea — single mother who is the hostess of the big house in which the young photographer Ebbi rents the room. Also in this house lives Juli who is the girlfriend of the son of the hostess. All of them are absolutely different people who are compelled to live with a multiple ban, despite freedom-loving the seventieth.

Their life consists not only of household problems, circulation on shops and other cares, it is also difficult, as well as life of the men who got used to adhere to stereotypes. While in the country crisis of mistrust to the power amplifies, heroines in every way try to cope with the problems which to anybody except them aren't important.
In 1979 Santa Barbara, California, Dorothea Fields is a determined single mother in her mid-50s who is raising her adolescent son, Jamie, at a moment brimming with cultural change and rebellion. Dorothea enlists the help of two younger women – Abbie, a free-spirited punk artist living as a boarder in the Fields' home and Julie, a savvy and provocative teenage neighbour – to help with Jamie's upbringing.
