Suffragette

Action Drama film "Suffragette" based on real historical events, starting in the year 1912 in London. Young woman Mod Watts happily married with a husband Sonny, which brings up a wonderful kid and making plans for the future. The family lives in poverty, and spouses have to work hard. From morning till evening Mod working in the laundry and increasingly faced with unfair treatment, exploitation and the cultural devaluation of women in society. The female population of the country is allowed only to work or engage in housework and child-rearing, while men rule the rest.

They believe that women do not have the mental balance and reserved disposition to resolve political issues so women are denied the right to vote. But many women do not agree with such judgements. Among these is a mod, which soon becomes a party to the movement for women's suffrage, led by the brave and resolute Emmeline Pankhurst. All peaceful methods of struggle did not give any results, as men realize only the language of War and then, suffragettes resorted to more radical measures that lead to sad consequences for some.
Based on true events about the foot soldiers of the early feminist movement, women who were forced underground to pursue a dangerous game of cat and mouse with an increasingly brutal State.
