The Hours

In the center of the plot of the Drama film "The Hours" is the life story of three women living in different periods of time, but tightly linked destiny. The Action unfolds during one day, starting with the awakening of the heroines and ending late in the evening. So the spectator gets acquainted with the life of the popular British author Virginia Woolf, which suffered from terrible depression and suicidal thinking, but just managed to work on his novel "Mrs Djelloujej".


This same novel reads an American housewife Laura Brown, who lives in the clock 50-IES in Los Angeles. Laura just suffers from loneliness and naskuchivshej of ideal life with unloved husband. In the year 2001 the spectator gets acquainted with Klarissoj Vaughan-energetic business woman who cares for a former lover, dying of AIDS. The three women shared a long stretch of time, a lot of hours, but as in 20, 50 and 2000-ies of each of these women have exactly the same problem.
"The Hours" is the story of three women searching for more potent, meaningful lives. Each is alive at a different time and place, all are linked by their yearnings and their fears. Their stories intertwine, and finally come together in a surprising, transcendent moment of shared recognition.
