Silence

Action movie occur in the seventeenth century in the land of the rising sun during the reign of the Tokugawa Shogunate. A large part of the population is poor peasants who had to cope with the incredible cruelty and numerous prohibitions. Only faith gives these people hope for the best, but the Muromachi prohibits Catholicism on their land and tries to clean up Japan from a foreign religion. For several years the father of 1600: Crishtovan Ferreira carried the faith of Christ Japanese people, risking their lives, and one day he went missing. On his quest in Japan come two priests, who do not even suspect what difficulties they will encounter. 
Two Jesuit priests travel to seventeenth century Japan which has, under the Tokugawa shogunate, banned Catholicism and almost all foreign contact.
