Flint Lokvud – the young scientist who dreams to make happy the hometown standing on a small island in the Atlantic Ocean. The main problem of the town – hunger to fight with which it is very difficult, after all on the small island it isn't so simple to grow up all necessary. After long efforts Flint finds an uncommon solution: he constructs the device capable to turn usual water into food. If the machine starts working, problems of islanders and all mankind, will be solved: that-that, and water on Earth is enough much.

However start of the device takes place unsuccessfully, and it departs to the sky. It seemed, everything is lost, and Flint's work is lost forever, but. soon after disappearance of the car from the sky the most real take away start pouring Now everything that remains to people, is to do orders, and to Flint to which duties control of weather conditions belongs, – to carry out these orders and to provide people necessary for them products But that will occur, if the car gets to hot?
Inventor Flint Lockwood creates a machine that makes clouds rain food, enabling the down-and-out citizens of Chewandswallow to feed themselves. But when the falling food reaches gargantuan proportions, Flint must scramble to avert disaster. Can he regain control of the machine and put an end to the wild weather before the town is destroyed?
