The Karate Kid

In a remake of the first part of cult History about the fellow who started being engaged in karate, the History gets new sounding. The black Dre Parker's family not familiar with Asian culture moves from Detroit to Beijing. To Wad Dra doesn't know neither Chinese, nor local traditions. He meets the girl by the name of May Ying, and despite cultural distinctions, between children the friendship is tied. Only it May Ying, nor local rutting led by the fellow Chen who the kung fu owns doesn't please neither the father and decides that Wad Dra with its independent character is suitable its gang as a pear for a beating.

To Wad Dra I don't intend to give up, he decides to give Chen and to other rutting repulse on the forthcoming tournament where the fighters owning different martial arts will face. Dre meets the elderly expert on martial arts by the name of Mr. Khan, and that decides to help the boy to comprehend secrets of karate, to learn self-checking, to come nearer to Asian culture and to prove to people around that too it is necessary to reckon with it.
Twelve-year-old Dre Parker could have been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's latest career move has landed him in China. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying but the cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre's feelings make him an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han, who is a kung fu master. As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life.
