This movie shot according to the world best-seller by the director David Fincher tells about mysterious investigation of the journalist Mikael Blumkvist. Once the wealthy businessman Henrik Vanger appealed to it to make investigation. He was interested in destiny of the niece who was gone forty years ago.

Mikael starts asking numerous relatives of the businessman about that day when the very young girl disappeared, and suddenly finds out for himself, what not nobody is interested in its investigation. Strange incidents start happening to it and even life of the journalist appears it is in danger. To it the professional hacker Lisbet who finds valuable information for Mikael comes to the rescue and gives considerable support in his difficult business shrouded in a cover of secrets and riddles.
