The Intern

A Comedy film, The Intern follows the story of a widower and his endeavour to get out of the boredom of retirement. 70 year old widower Ben finds the life of a retiree as highly boring with nothing to do and no one to talk to. In order to escape his boredom, he applies for a position as a senior intern at an online fashion retailer’s office, and to everyone’s surprise, gets accepted.

As Ben becomes the intern of Jules Ostin, the young, dynamic, dedicated workaholic founder of the company, he comes to realize that his role isn’t all that it is chalked out to be, as Jules is not giving him any real work due to his age and status and simply intends to keep him “for show.” Having to prove his worth all over again, Ben tries his best to prove useful and ends up being an uncanny source of support and wisdom. Will Ben be able to escape the miseries of retirement and be successful at his new “job” the way he wanted to?
