Nicky Spurgeon is a common man and he decides to visit a restaurant which is quite expensive. He meets Jess Barrett attracts his attention and seduces him. Then she starts acting like her husband has caught them red handed. Nicky tells Jess about how to handle the unexpended situations and keep the focus on one thing. Jess and Nicky meet again at another night club where Jess asks him to be her guide and mentor.

Then Nicky takes her t New Orleans where she meets his crew members. Farhad is bit different from others as he is obese and profane as well. Nicky teaches her to pick pockets and soon they start loving each other. Nicky is always taught by his father not to get involved in any emotional bonds. Nicky then visits a gambler Liyuan Tse who is betting for the 17th Football Franchise for American Championship and loses all his money.
Nicky, an accomplished con artist, gets romantically involved with his disciple Jess but later ends their relationship. Years later, she returns as a femme fatale to spoil his plans.
