Roger Greenberg is at a crossroads. After losing his job, he is not too much of a hurry finding a new one. Instead, Greenberg returned from New York to Los Angeles to watch the House of its more successful younger brother. So he at least will be a free place to stay. In his hometown he finds no understanding nor old friends or former colleagues. Omission of an adult some frustrating other frustrating. Only Florence, personal assistant brother shares the spiritual crisis of Greenberg. She desperately looking for a reason to be happy. But because it is less suited for another petulant loser?
A New Yorker moves to Los Angeles in order to figure out his life while he housesits for his brother, and he soon sparks with his brother's assistant.
