1995. Confusion and chaos which bring to one of the most rigid conflicts in the American History between color and former inhabitants reigns in the city. And the highway "8 Mile" becomes the dividing strip separating Detroit from the suburb and black from white. All these events find the reflection and in culture and music. For inhabitants of poor quarters the rap becomes a certain emotional outlet and means of how it is possible to escape from this reality. Jimmy Smith known as the Rabbit - the ordinary white guy living on the suburb of Detroit and working at local plant.
