The Last Days on Mars

The second mission to Mars is coming to an end, to send into orbit remains less than a day. Astronauts ahead of half-year return on the ship Aurora. Astronauts finish their studies on the surface of an alien planet, and two on the Mars Rover sent to rock for Kim-one of the astronavtok. At this time on Mars dust storm begins, the astronauts ' base turns out in the center of the cyclone and loses touch with the ship.

Kim was disappointed that their expedition made no discoveries and, in the meantime, another astronaut, Marco, examining with a microscope samples of rocks, makes the long-awaited opening, but hides it from his comrades and is seeking permission to leave on surface for repair of gamma-ray sensors. Having received permission to take a second Rover, Marco goes for new rock samples and proofs of the existence of life on Mars. And Kim crawls into the computer of Marco and all will learn of his discovery. Expedition commander gives the order to second the craft to return to base, but Marco does not listen to him, and soon an incident happens, which completely changes the outcome of the expedition.
On the last day of the first manned mission to Mars, a crew member of Tantalus Base believes he has made an astounding discovery – fossilized evidence of bacterial life. Unwilling to let the relief crew claim all the glory, he disobeys orders to pack up and goes out on an unauthorized expedition to collect further samples. But a routine excavation turns to disaster when the porous ground collapses and he falls into a deep crevice. His devastated colleagues attempt to recover his body. However, when another vanishes, they start to suspect that the life-form they have discovered is not without danger.
