Comedic Drama "Our Brand Is Crisis" is based on real events that took place in the year 2002 in Bolivia, and tells about the presidential elections in the country, when the parties election campaigns invited experienced foreign political strategists for the successful PR. The plot of the film revolves around successful women and professional political consultant Jane Bodine, who was one of the best experts in their field not yet stained its reputation as the loudest political failure.
One day, Jane receives a proposal to hold the election campaign for presidential candidate in Bolivia, Pedro Castillo. However, his rival from the opposition also decided to retain the services of American professional in the face of Pat Candy, who is a longtime rival of Jane. While the presidential candidates are fighting for power in the country, Jane combats Pat.
