The planet Ba-Ku is a paradise, because the people living on it never grow old and have parapsihologicheskimi abilities. Many Federation officials are ready to give a lot to get the secret of immortality. The Federation agents secretly enter into an alliance with one of the races and try to uncover the secret of the planet.
The crew of the Starship USS Enterprise-e headed by Captain Pikarom detects this secret activities, which contradicts the directive of non-interference. Picard decides to stop this activity on the planet all possible measures. Justice for Captain Picard remains paramount, so he must rebel against Starfleet to save the life of the planet Ba-Ku and its inhabitants.
When an alien race and factions within Starfleet attempt to take over a planet that has "regenerative" properties, it falls upon Captain Picard and the crew of the Enterprise to defend the planet's people as well as the very ideals upon which the Federation itself was founded.
