Actions of a mystical Thriller "The Gift" occur in small American provincial town. The young widow Annie Wilson raising three sons and makes predictions for the future. Annie has the gift of clairvoyance and periodically sees ghosts. This helps her to support his family, but is also "cross", which will have to bear all his life. Annie's gift helps the police to investigate the murder of a young girl from a rich family, as well as plant behind bars killer Donnie Barksdejla.
But over time, Annie begins to suffer from the terrible obsessive visions, who talk about the innocence of Donnie.
