Gladiator

"Gladiator" is a historical Drama film directed by Ridley Scott, released in the year 2000. Action movie take place in 180 a.d. during the reign of Marcus Aurelius.Didn't know about the Roman Empire more than brave Warrior, General Maksius, he was a noble man, a great soldier of the Commander of the legions.


After the battle with the German barbarians completes victory Rome nice general turns out to be at the center of political intrigue. Maximus is accused of disobedience and sentenced to the death penalty, but he manages to escape. After a while it becomes a Gladiator, fighting fierce duels at the Coliseum arena. Well known for a strong opponent of Maksimusu to be the final battle with his greatest enemy.
In the year 180, the death of emperor Marcus Aurelius throws the Roman Empire into chaos. Maximus is one of the Roman army's most capable and trusted generals and a key advisor to the emperor. As Marcus' devious son Commodus ascends to the throne, Maximus is set to be executed. He escapes, but is captured by slave traders. Renamed Spaniard and forced to become a gladiator, Maximus must battle to the death with other men for the amusement of paying audiences.
