Flags of our Fathers

Historical Drama directed by Clint Eastwood- "Flags of our Fathers" tells about the times of War between the United States and Japan, namely the year 1945 when was fought the battle of Iwo Jima. The story is told from a third person about the lives of six American Marines who were able to set a flag on top of Mount Surubachi. The story of their exploits and victories, that only three were able to survive and go home, where they were proud relatives and beloved country has forgotten about them and abandoned to their fate.
There were five Marines and one Navy Corpsman photographed raising the U.S. flag on Mt. Suribachi by Joe Rosenthal on February 23, 1945. This is the story of three of the six surviving servicemen - John 'Doc' Bradley, Pvt. Rene Gagnon and Pvt. Ira Hayes - who fought in the battle to take Iwo Jima from the Japanese.
