Constable Nicholas Angel is the best policeman in London. He is fast, strong and smart, so that with his arrival at the service of the detection of cases and the number of arrests is significantly increasing. It would seem, for such a specialist need to hold on with both hands, but bosses believe otherwise: according to the higher ranks, Nicholas should get rid as soon as possible. The fact of the matter is that close to his success reaching the remaining police look, to put it mildly, humbly, and generally it is somewhat spoils the image of London's defenders of the law.

So one day, Nicolas moved to Sandford is a quiet hole, where everybody knows everybody, and where the Crime is, at first glance, is completely missing. Initially demoralized local peaceful life, Angel soon realizes that the city isn't that terrible case: a series of brutal murders, the relationship between which seems to be missing. But flair brings not Nicolas, so him and his new partner Danny Batterman, who harbor dreams of shoot-outs and Chase, have much to endure.
Former London constable Nicholas Angel finds it difficult to adapt to his new assignment in the sleepy British village of Sandford. Not only does he miss the excitement of the big city, but he also has a well-meaning oaf for a partner. However, when a series of grisly accidents rocks Sandford, Angel smells something rotten in the idyllic village.
