The plot of the movie is based on real stories about young the female corporal Meagen of Libya (Kate Mara) who managed to save lives of many people during War in Iraq thanks to the unique discipline and the devoted fellow soldier – a sheep-dog by nickname Rex. Within several years of service Meagen and Rex executed more than 100 missions until once they got serious wound as a result of explosion of the self-made device which threatened their future.
The true story of Marine Corporal Megan Leavey, who forms a powerful bond with an aggressive combat dog, Rex. While deployed in Iraq, the two complete more than 100 missions and save countless lives, until an IED explosion puts their faithfulness to the test.
